Hosting the 1st Annual DOING LIFE RIGHT Teleconference

We're so excited to be hosting our first teleconference: DOING LIFE RIGHT 2012.

Rather than have a series of LOOOOOOONG interviews or speeches (which I love, BTW), I've decided to keep everything short and sweet so that many tidbits of important information can get out to the world. Over the month of October, I'll be posting at least one 5-minute long video per day, every day. Each video will be about a different topic by a unique speaker. These videos will stay up indefinitely and viewing them is completely free. To get them automatically delivered to your inbox each day, sign up here.

The idea to host a conference has been in the back of my mind for years, but I never quite had a specific goal or format in mind. Earlier this year, after going through more personal challenges and discoveries (like we all do), the goal and format came to me! I didn't want an in-person conference which concentrated on just one or two parts of life, I wanted an online conference about ALL parts of life. Yes, this is a big goal that could take hundreds of years to attain since there are so many different aspects to life, but why not start now with something doable?

I asked myself: What is my personal goal in life? To do it right. That is, after all, the reason I named my company Do Life Right, Inc. nearly six years ago (I maintain a blog titled Do Life Right, too). It's my aspiration to continually add to the body of what it means to "Do Life Right" over time, so that my mission of “Empowering all people to reach their full potential in life” can come true!

We already have many speakers on board, but are open to just the right people with messages to say.

Do you want to give a 5-minute long speech about something you are passionate about? Watch the following video, and then contact me through this form here if you think you have a topic that the world just needs to hear about.

TWO BOOK Virtual Book Release Party!

Whoo-Hoo!

We're so excited here at Do Life Right, Inc. to have HomeschoolLiterature.com host a one-day virtual book release party for both THE HOWLING VOWELS and FRACTURED FATE today--Wednesday, November 16, 2011.

When asked recently which of these two books was my favorite, I had to answer honestly: I couldn't possibly choose! Each is so unique in its own way.

THE HOWLING VOWELS by Leslie Schultz, illustrated by Heather Newman, is such a lovely middle-grade novel (set in a fictional town in Minnesota) that it makes me smile in a nostalgic sort-of way. To read more about Leslie, click here. To read more about Heather, click here.

FRACTURE FATE by Caja Coyote, illustrated by Sage Echo Sirotkin, is so full of action, adventure, superheroes, and romance, that it takes me to a different world (all while being set in a real-life town in Arizona). To read more about Caja Coyote, click here.

Yes, our books are on Kindle!

One question we at Do Life Right, Inc. get asked a lot is: Are your books available on Kindle?

The answer is: YES! We believe strongly that electronic and audio books are the future of all books and we strive to keep up with the latest technologies.

With that in mind, all of our books are available in Kindle format. We are looking into other e-book formats, have found a great recording studio for future audio books (and are currently accepting voice submissions), and are even searching for foreign translators. We believe that the world is our home, not just the United States of America and other English-speaking nations.

If you have a question like this or a solution to one of our problems, don't hesitate to contact us!

Our seventh title: NOVEL CONCEPT

Novel Concept

Novel Concept by Teagan Bentley is our first book by a child author! Hear that kids? Do Life Right, Inc.'s submission guidelines do not care how old or young you are. You just have to have written something amazing! Using readers who did not know the age of the author, this children's chapter book was picked unanimously as a "must publish" book. We are proud to add this book to our catalog! Published in April 2011.

Write a book with Monica and Julie! When two homeschooling best friends team up to enter a novel writing contest, things get busy fast! Through planning for birthdays and getting ready for Halloween, Monica and Julie's writing adventure becomes one novel concept!

Author Teagan Bentley is a ten year old homeschooler (Radical Unschooler) from Sahuarita, Arizona. While she has been writing and “making” (engineering) stories for years, this is her first solo full-length book. In addition to reading, writing, and editing, Teagan enjoys making and selling jewelry and favicons, dancing ballet, playing video games, and participating in a variety of events. The lessons he shares encourage and inspire people from all walks of life to believe in all that they are and to become all that they can become. Bill is a speaker, author and life coach, who has spent over 45 years in the life insurance industry where his accomplishments placed him in the top 2% of the world’s producers. Our fifth title: CODY GREENE AND THE RAINBOW MYSTERY

by Linda Fields

When a painting is stolen from nine year old Cody Greene’s family’s art gallery, he does what any artist does best: he sketches the clues. Through cooking with his friend, visiting the midwife with his mom, hiking with his dad, and helping to prepare for an upcoming art and craft festival, Cody’s homeschooling takes a new turn as he unravels the Case of the Rainbow Mystery.

Introducing new author, Linda Fields, to the homeschooling fiction "field" with her new release: Cody Greene and the Rainbow Mystery, a fabulous children's chapter book.

Linda Fields is a first time published author with a million stories in her head. She’s been writing for years, yet especially loves books for children and teens. She came up with the idea for the character of Cody after seeing that most children’s books didn’t have people from a variety of ethnicities. On a trip with her family, she was inspired with the idea of a Rainbow Mystery and instantly knew that Cody had to be the one to solve it. Linda lives a quiet life in the southwest with her family and pets. She loves reading, writing, hiking, and watching movies. Check out www.AuthorFields.com to learn more about Linda.

Illustrated by ten different authors, this book is highly unique. Each illustrator fulfilled a unique role in this book, since it was set in a northern New Mexico art gallery.

The illustrators are (look for photos, illustrations, and more information about each of these talented people over the next few weeks):

Heather Newman

Marsha Cottrell

Teagan Bentley

Jame Hayes

Jeremy Steffen

Glenna McAulay

Kelly Halldoran

Tanja Bauerle
